Here is tonight’s recipe which is Pasta & Picadillo with Egg
This is a good dish to make once you have made picadillo and have leftovers. This is what you need and it does not take more than 15 minutes to make.
- large pasta shells or small ones depending on your preference.
- Leftover picadillo (ground beef, chicken or pork whatever you prefer ) this is typically made with tomato sauce or pasta red sauce and some seasonings. I will put up this recipe in another post.
- Tomato sauce
- Eggs 1 per person
- shredded cheese
Boil pasta for 9 minutes
While doing this take out your eggs and picadillo.
On low start to fry eggs to be sunny side up not over medium, you want it to run once you cut it over pasta.
Once the pasta is done drain and place back into pot. Put in picadillo and stir while heating and mixing together. If necessary add just a little bit of tomato sauce approximately 1/3 cup or depending on how much pasta you use. This is just so it is not dry but you don’t want it runny either. This step is also optional if you like it without the sauce. The picadillo should have enough in it already to make it nice too.
Once heated and the eggs are fried place pasta onto plate (place shredded cheese and olives on top (optional) place egg on top.
